Fundación Jakober

After 385 plus blog entries, there might be the risk of an occasional repetition, a trap that I sincerely try to avoid.

I had talked about the Æonium holochrysum plant once before, way back in February, 2008. And I have already told you about the gardens of Sa Bassa Blanca, owned by the Fundación Yannick y Ben Jakober, near the Aucanada Golf course, in Port d’Alcúdia.

A visit there makes for such a pleasant outing, if you avoid the present daytime heat. The gardens are just one part of the offerings at the Fundación Jakober, the other part being an impressive display of art, old and new, of paintings, sculpture and landscape installations. No doubt, I will offer you more photos from up there, sooner or later.

Every Tuesday, there is an Open Day at Sa Bassa Blanca, when admission is free. For information, you can telephone 971.549.880.

The photo was taken near Port d’Alcúdia, Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: May 18th, 2008. The time was 13:53:39.
