There are some 13,000,000 visitors coming to Mallorca every year. Most of them come in July and August, at the height of summer. There should be some 1,500,000 tourists on the island right now, plus Mallorca’s 1,000,000 permanent residents.
But when you stroll down one of the little side alleys in the centre of Palma de Mallorca, the Casco Gótico, as I did earlier this week, there seems no-one around. It is all peace and quiet. Wonderful.
