Patrimonio Historico

parc_de_la_mar.jpg

Palma is full of historic remnants like this old arched passageway, called La Portella, not far from Palma’s cathedral. It connects the old town with the Parc de la Mar, underneath the city’s fortified walls.

In the old days, the sea came right up to where you now see the palmtrees.

The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken in Palma de Mallorca. The date: June 9th, 2004. The time was 11:40:36.
