The holiday season is not over yet. In fact, in Spain the holiday season starts in early December and does not end until after Three Kings.
We may think that Christmas is the time for exchanging presents but no. Spain has its own ways. Here, children do not get their presents from Father Christmas or Papa Noël or Santa Claus, but from the Reyes Magos (the Three Kings or the Three Wise Men from the Orient). And that’s not until January 6th. Let’s be patient and let’s wait for some more celebrations coming up.
In the meantime, we can enjoy a display of large scale sculptures by French artist, Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) in Palma’s Passeig Born, such as this one of The Thinker (1903).
The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The date: December 31st, 2007. The time was 19:43:03.
