Hibernating

hibernation.jpg

Some animals tuck up for their hibernation stint during the winter month.

Some of the lusher yachts seem to be doing just the same, harbouring in one of Mallorca’s 25 marinas.

If the vessel is as big as the owner’s ego, and the bank account big enough to go with both, the boat might get cocooned like the one pictured here, in the Real Club Náutico de Palma, to spend the winter in a dormant state.

The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The date: February 12th, 2008. The time was 15:04:32.

  1. For your information, the boats are cocooned like this to be repainted, to protect them from the weather and dust during repairs.
