The Dark Knight (Warner Bros. Pictures) is apparently turning into the fastest-grossing blockbuster movie in Hollywood history. It is out now in a cinema near you in most parts of the world, but here in Spain – and thus in Mallorca – we shall have to wait a little longer, until August 13th. Not that I care much, either way, really.

Here in Mallorca we have our own batman, though, or at least our own bat. The city regalia of Palma de Mallorca shows a bat (Chiroptera), as I have told you sometime before. You will see little bats everywhere in Palma, such as in this photo, where it is embossed on a cast iron cover in the street. Just keep your eyes open, and you will find hundreds of the little mamal’s images. Promise.
