Mark Cavendish and the Columbia Team

British UCI Track World Champion (2005 and 2008), Mark Cavendish and his Team Columbia passed through Felanitx yesterday, in their pursuit of some practice session on the island whilst preparing for the new season.

Mark Cavendish, also known as the “Manxman“, was the 2008 winner of the Observer Sports Monthly ‘Best Individual Sporting Achievement’ award. He won four stages in this year’s Tour de France, the first Briton to ever achieve more than two stages of the Tour in one year. According to The Independent, Cavendish is the “…fourth most successful British cycling professional in history…”.
