Post Mortem

muerte

Little curly-haired María P. B. was the first baby to be born in Mallorca in 2009, to the joy of her happy parents, E. P. and L. B. She was delivered in Son Dureta at 00h26 by Caesarian section, weighing in at 2,730 g. ¡Felicidades!

The New Year did not start quite so good for Joan E. R. Sadly, he survived New Year’s Eve, only to struggle with his last breath in the early hours of the first day of the year. It appears that no family member was at his bedside when he died, I understand. Oh, well. But there was no need for an autopsy, or post-mortem examination, to be carried out on the corpse. Joan E. R. had died of age-related natural causes.

Let’s hope that the remainder of this year will turn out okay for baby María and for us all. And let’s hope that Joan E. R. is alright wherever he might now be.

The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The date: January 1st, 2009. The time was 13:32:23.
