Mallorca’s inter-urban trains and buses are associated with one another in a loose network of companies, called Transport de les Illes Balears (t.i.b.).
As this is Spain, all transport in Mallorca is Palma-centred. If you want to go, say, from Cala d’Or to Pollença, you will have to make your way first to Palma before you board a different bus that will take you to the north of the island. That is a tad inconvenient to say the least.
Should you want to check on traffic news or on a time table for buses or trains, you could consult this t.i.b. website.
The photo was taken a few weeks ago at the central bus station in Palma. This station will change from its street-level location to an underground level any time soon, to be more convenient for Mallorca’s connecting train and Metro services. Check your local press for news and dates.
The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: January 29th, 2009. The time was 11:12:07.
