The Diada de Mallorca is celebrated every year on September 12th, commemorating the historic date in 1276, when King Jaume II signed the Carta de franqueses i privilegis del Regne de Mallorca, thus constituting the Kingdom of Mallorca. The Regne de Mallorca lasted until 1349.

A catalogue of events and activities has been prepared by the Consell de Mallorca, kicking of today. The Palau Reial (seat of the Consell de Mallorca) will have days of Open Doors tonight (19h00), as well as September 5th, 6th and 13th (10h00 – 14h00). A visit there is strongly recommended.
