Sancta Nobis, Bonany

There are perhaps 45 monasteries on the island of Mallorca, including a dozen or so in the island capital of Palma de Mallorca. Less than fifteen are still run by monks or nuns; the rest are only attended during fiestas. They still remain open for visitors, though. The photo shows the Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Bonany, outside Petra.

The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken near the village of Petra, Mallorca. The date: February 22nd, 2007. The time was 16:12:13.
