Quite a large number of people in Mallorca would like to be independent from Spain. Often these people are the older ones, or they belong to the younger generation. Their reasons are mainly to do with the history of Mallorca, and the Spanish takeover of the Mallorcan crown.
That’s what this grafitti means: Espanya, go home!

The Mallorca Photo Blog 
I am a 4th year E.S.O student from Ramon Llull high school and we are using this blog in English class. I think that this picture shows us the feeling of the people in Mallorca. I’m not from Mallorca but I can give an opinion: This large number of people shouldn’t want to became independent from Spain, because Mallorca belong to Spain.
I like so much your articles and I think that your blog give us interesting information of Mallorca and some lovely pictures. I hope that you recive a lot of goods comments.
