Espanya Go Home

Quite a large number of people in Mallorca would like to be independent from Spain. Often these people are the older ones, or they belong to the younger generation. Their reasons are mainly to do with the history of Mallorca, and the Spanish takeover of the Mallorcan crown.

That’s what this grafitti means: Espanya, go home!

The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken near Porreres, Mallorca. The date: October 12th, 2006. The time was 16:35:18.

I’m not from Mallorca but I can give an opinion: This large number of people shouldn’t want to became independent from Spain, because Mallorca belong to Spain.
