November 1st is celebrated throughout the Catholic world, including Mallorca and all of Spain, as Día de Todos Santos (Tots Sants in Catalàn, All Saints Day), to honour all the saints of the Catholic faithfuls. The santos play a very important role in Spanish daily life, giving each and every person their very own, personal name.
Spanish families pay visits to their family graves today, bringing lavish flower offerings, and remembering their deceased family members.
The photo offered here shows British poet and novelist, Robert Graves‘s humble resting place in the churchyard of Deià, the village where he spent more than 40 years of his life. He died in December 1985 at the age of 90. You might want to pay the poet a visit, one day, yourself.
The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken in the village of Deià. The date: February 2nd, 2007. The time was 15:35:19.

Hi, a great way to pay homage to the great soul. Regards, Tia Martyn
