Menu del día. A picnic.
When I took this picture, I couldn’t help but think of that famous Impressionist painting by Édouard Manet, Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe (1863, Musée d’Orsay, Paris).
The pigeons had their picnic in the Jardins de s’Hort del Rei (the King’s Gardens) in Avinguda d’Antoni Maura, Palma, just below the Palau de Almudaina. A very pretty garden, even without pigeons.
The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The date: January 11th, 2008. The time was 13:38:44.
