Honouring Sant Honorat

algaida.jpg

Algaida is this lovely small village on the wrong side of the Randa mountain, if you see what I mean.

The wrong side in this case is the right side, though.

If Algaida would be on the right side, it would be spoilt by masses of tourists and overcrowded by loads of foreigners buying up the country houses, driving up property prices.

Algaida celebrates its patron saint day today, Sant Honorat.

Everybody went to church, and then it was festivities, parties and merriment, all around. Free food and free wine was served in front of the Casa de la Vila (townhall), as you can see in my photo.

Molts d’anys.

The photo was taken in Algaida, Mallorca, Spain. The date: January 16th, 2008. The time was 12:43:35.
