The Bank of Spain

Did you know that the Banco de España has a branch office in Palma de Mallorca, just behind the Plaça Major?

The Bank of Spain still exists even though many of its functions have been taken over by the European Central Bank.

There are still some essential services provided for by the Bank of Spain, both, in Madrid and in the regional and provincial offices. If you happen to have some Spanish Pesetas banknotes somewhere, for instance, you can change them here, even now.

The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: April 23rd, 2008. The time was 13:56:50.
