Porreres may be famous for its monastery, Monti-Sión, or be fancied for its great parochial choir. The unassuming village in the Pla de Mallorca may be famed for its Bodega, Jaume Mesquida, or be fashionable for its 27 bars and coffee places.
Some may fly for the Talaiotic sites near Porreres, or may favour its three parish churches, one (Sant Miquel) partly shown here.
Whatever one might like best about Porreres, it is a stimulating, peaceful village, well worth a visit or two. An enjoyable experience all round.
