Two days ago, July 20th, was the day of Felanitx’ patron saint, Santa Margalida.

Cavallets took to the streets of the town to perform, together with dimonis and caparrots. Concerts and ball de bot dances were held; a very animated correfoc and a rather good fireworks spectacle crowned the finale.

In about four weeks time, the annual verbenas will be held in Felanitx, in honour of another patron saint, Sant Agustí. Then, three bullfights will be staged, and the finale will be yet another, even bigger correfoc. The Felanitx verbenas are considered to be one of the highlights of the year, by the locals of Mallorca. An event not to be missed.
