Chapel in the Romanesque Style

el_temple.jpg

Off the beaten track, almost hidden away, is the complex of El Temple, in Palma de Mallorca.

El Temple forms part of the Almudaina de Gumara precinct, pertaining to Mallorca’s Arab period (902-1229), and once forming part of the fortified Moorish city wall.

The main attraction within the El Temple complex of today is a unique chapel in the Romanesque style, dating from the 13th Century but rebuilt in 1885. The stunning chapel can be visited daily upon request (09h00-13h00).

The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The date: July 20th, 2007. The time was 12:49:39.
