I have discovered a new Mallorcan olive oil that you must try. It is called Llàgrima Verda (green tear) and it is absolutely delicious. It has a buttery taste, is palatable and full of subtle flavour. We use it cold only, for salads and dressings, not for frying.
The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from the Arbequina variety of olives and comes with a d’O classification (Denomination of Origin). The oil is coldpressed at the Son Pere Andreu finca on the outskirts of Manacor and it retails at 10,50 € for 500 ml.
