Bits and Pieces

Today is World Internet Day. Or rather, World Information Society Day.

This place in the country, near Felanitx, does not have telecommunications, nor telephone, nor Internet. As a matter of fact, it does not have running water nor electricity. The fridge runs on Butano gas, as does the cooker. Rainwater is collected from the roof for the daily requirements of cleanliness and gardening.

In fact, everything is the way it was all over the island, not all that long ago. And everyone is happy.

The photo was taken near Felanitx, Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: May 10th, 2007. The time was 11:59:59.
