Snails’ Trails

snails.jpg

Every time there is a rain in Mallorca, you will see people go out, equipped with buckets and torches, hunting for snails.

Snails are considered a gastronomic delicacy in Spain, eaten with bread and aioli, the garlicky egg and olive oil dip.

If you do not know where to hunt your snails down on your local country lane, you might want to buy them at the local market, as seen here in Felanitx last Sunday.

The photo was taken in the town of Felanitx, Mallorca, Spain. The date: October 21st, 2007. The time was 12:21:53.
