Whilst Mallorca’s Irish community celebrates St. Patrick’s Day today, Mallorcans honour Sant Patrici.
I can not enlighten you on the number of Irish residents on this island but there must be a few. There certainly is a large contingent of Irish visitors and/or tourists coming to these isles if one judges by the quantity of Irish Euro coins that seem to be in circulation, here.
I also do not know exactly how the Mallorcans pay tribute to their St. Patrici saint. I suppose they pay their respect just the same as they do with all their many saints. I don’t think, however, that the Mallorcan folks are any merrier today than they were yesterday or last week.
But, I do not doubt for a minute that residents and visitors alike, plus the odd Brit here and there, will join in today’s festivities. Sláinte Mhaith to you all, and good health.
