Educating Rafel

Going to one of the art museums in Palma de Mallorca quite often gives you the opportunity to inadvertently witness a bit of the art of educating the younger generation. The Museu Fundación Juan March for instance (see photo), the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró or the Fundació Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma are often elected by maestras and profesoras to teach their pupils and alumnos in the marvels of the world of Art.

Over the years, I have experienced a relatively large number of school children in Palma, and in Mallorca on the whole, being introduced to a myriad of activities in the fields of music, arts, theatre, literature, poetry and dance. Wonderful. I am full of praise for the standard of education here on the island, with regard to art and culture, or regarding anything else really.

The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: April 21st, 2010. The time was 12:50:23.
