Once in a Blue Moon

full_moon.jpg

It was a Full Moon last night. If a second Full Moon occurs in a single calendar month it is called a Blue Moon. On average, only 41 months will have two Full Moons in every century (now you know where the saying ‘once in a blue moon‘ comes from). The problem is, this month’s Blue Moon only occured in New Zealand. Mallorca had one a month ago, though, in June.

The photo was taken near Llucmajor, Mallorca. The date: July 29th, 2007. The time was 22:32:54.

If it’s not a problem, I’ve put this as my avatar on Facebook.
The image is something I can relate to, thus the commment.
    I hope you don’t mind.
    Thanks!
