The Meeting of the Giants

trobada_gegants.jpg

Felanitx yesterday celebrated its first ever Trobada de Gegants with a congregation of mega-sized giants from 14 villages from around the island of Mallorca.

Next Sunday, Felanitx will hold its Fira del Pebre Bord, the big market day dedicated to the sweet red pepper (paprika), which is an essential ingredient of Mallorcan Sobrassada. More about that next week.

The photo was taken in the town of Felanitx, Mallorca, Spain. The date: October 13th, 2007. The time was 17:55:53.
