Hot Chocolate Heaven

In Palma’s Casc Antic (Old Town), between Plaça Santa Eulàlia and Plaça Major, you can find Mallorca’s best Xocolateria, C’an Juan de S’Aigo.

Thick hot chocolate is served with Ensaïmadas (or croissants, if you so wish). The establishment also does some mean homemade almond ice cream. The firm’s origins, after all, were in the making of frozen snow, some 300 year ago, long before electricity and refrigeration were invented.

The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: April 11th, 2008. The time was 12:19:15.

  1. Chocolate flows in deep dark, sweet waves, a river to ignite my mind and alert my senses to that place. Chocolate doesn’t make the place go around … but it certainly makes the ride worthwhile!

    Nice post.

I love chocolate. Have you ever seen a chocolate fountain? It is wonderful! Check this out:
