There can be no doubt. Summer has finally arrived in Mallorca.
Ever since the last heavy rains in June, Mallorca has enjoyed high temperatures of around 30º C and up to 34º C. The heat arrived suddenly and without any build-up, as would be normal. The outlook promises a short, but hot summer, hotter than last year.
The weather forecast for this weekend is perfect with daytime temperatures between 30º and 33º C. At night, temperatures will be cooler at around 19º or 20º C.
Time for an afternoon dip in the Mediterranean Sea, one would have thought. Even a midnight swim would not be unwise, with water temperatures of around 24º C.

Recently we holidayed in Spain and tried out the self catering option, it worked out much better than a hotel, more comfortable but you do need a rental car to get around, we were miles from public transport. Otherwise no complaints, it’s a more cost effective option if you’re a family.
