Rien Ne Va Plus

For the last forty years or so, a tiny three pump benzinera (petrol station) in Felanitx’s Plaça Espanya, also known as Plaza de las Palmeras, served the local community. Well, no longer. The game is up. Rien ne va plus. The petrol pumps had served as a piece of the puzzle that was the everyday life in Felanitx during all those years, but that’s it. Felanitx will never be the same again. Profitability and commercial viability had their say in the matter, of course.

After the benzinera was closed down, the kiosk was broken into. Not sure if there was anything left to be stolen, but still. Whatever next?

The photo was taken in Felanitx, Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: February 9th, 2010. The time was 13:26:37.
