Weekly Village Markets

Most island pueblos hold weekly markets where products related to agriculture and animal husbandry are sold. Usually, these markets offer an excellent choice for quality fruit and vegetable as well as useful items for everyday needs, such as household goods, fabrics, clothes, shoes, ceramics, pots and pans, knives and tools, and what have you.

The oldest markets are probably those in Felanitx (Sundays), Manacor (Mondays), Porreres (Tuesdays), Sineu (Wednesdays), Inca (Thursdays) and Llucmajor (Fridays).

Markets in Palma such as Mercat d’Olivar and Mercat Santa Catalina are a daily affair.
