I have hinted before at the prevalence of bats in Palma, in my post dated August 14th. The bat is the symbolic emblem of Ciutat de Palma, which is Catalán for Palma de Mallorca.
The most prominent bat must be the one shown here, on top of the tortoises’ fountain in Plaza Rey Juan Carlos I, opposite C & A, at the upper end of Palma’s Passeo del Borne.
The photo was chosen from my archive. It was taken in Palma de Mallorca. The date: January 17th, 2006. The time was 13:53:05.
