Whilst there are still a number of almond trees flowering around in Mallorca, a second wave of fruit trees are out in blossom now as well: peach trees, nectarines, ciruelas (plums), cherry trees, you name it. Yesterday, we had a lovely blue sky with temperatures of up to 16° C. The weather forecast is good too, at least for the next few days. Temperatures will go up to 17° today and tomorrow, and even up to 19° and 20° in some parts of the island.
It is hard to believe that we had snow in most of Mallorca only a few days ago, even down to sea level, and nighttime temperatures of -7° C less than a week ago in Lluc.
But let’s not complain. Instead, let’s hope that the fruit trees have not suffered too much from the recent cold spell, and let’s hope that cold temperatures do not return any time soon. Clouds are forecast for next weekend, though.

oh wow, what a great photo!!!
What a beautiful picture.
Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for with a google search. I am going to see a friend near the ebro and I want to see the blossom on the lots of peach and fruit trees so I think I will be all right at mid march.
