Scrapyards are a useful invention. In Spain, scrapyards for car parts and accessories are called Desguaces (Catalan: Desballestament). You may just find the spare part that your vehicle needs (provided your car is a model which is sold in Spain).

Do you need a second hand radiator, a bumper (front or rear), a door mirror (left or right), a headlamp, a transmission or even an engine? Chances are that one of the number of Desguaces in Palma (or in Manacor) will have just the piece that you need. Your headache might be dealt with quicker than you thought.

But it pays to be patient. This is Spain, after all.
