For just a couple of days the beach of Can Pastilla turned into a bit of Venice Beach, CA. Or so the organizers of Mallorca Surf Action 2010 would have us think. Surf Boarders, Street Boarders, Paddle Boarders, Skim Boarders, Snake Boarders, Wake Boarders, Street Surfers, Wind Surfers, Kite Surfers, plus BMX, Bike Trial, Skate, Inline and what have you, all gathered in Can Pastilla last weekend to celebrate their hobbies and sports, some of which even count amongst Extreme Sports. The slightly less extreme Lorena Sánchez was crowned Miss Mallorca Surf Action 2010, whilst Fabio Santos was proclaimed Mister Mallorca Surf Action 2010. I think I ought to have won the category of The Oldest Member of the Public, as none of the other thousands of visitors seemed a day older than 30, if that.
