Catalina Capellà Salvà and Eusebi Colomer Servera are expected to return home today after a three year journey, pedalling around the world. The two cycling adventurers hail from Porreres (Mallorca) where they will be welcomed today after their 158 weeks long escapade. They were 31 years old (Catalina) and 46 (Eusebi), respectively, when they embarked on their bicycle tour in November, 2007. They flew to Buenos Aires (Argentina) from where they cycled through Brazil, Mexico and the USA to Canada during the first twelve months of their trip. From Canada they flew to New Zealand and later, Australia, before they embarked by boat for Indonesia in their second year. Vietnam, China, India and Tibet were the countries they conquered during their third year on the road, before they headed home for Europe, through Turkey and Bulgaria, ultimately arriving in Italy, France and, finally, back in Spain and now, Mallorca.
Well done, I’d say. Benvinguts. And molts d’anys.
