Whilst everybody else was dancing the night away last night or watched the fireworks display or downed that midnight copa de cava here in Mallorca, I was out and about in search of that first Quarter Moon of 2012. It took me a while to find the goddess. She was pretty low down heading for the horizon but my, was she beautiful. A small cloud tried to cover her modesty.

The first Ful Moon of 2012 will be upon us on January 9th, a week from tomorrow. There will be a Blue Moon later this year, in August. A Blue Moon means that there are two Full Moons during one calendar month.
