The Fira i Festes de Manacor 2011 has been in swing since last week and will continue today and tomorrow. Admittedly, it is too late now to tell you about the Journada de Cuina (Food Fair) which was held on Thursday night, or the Tast de Vins (Wine Fair) which happened last night (see photo). But still, today you could go to Manacor and see the Trobada de Batucades (drumming), today at 11h30, or the Trobada de Gegants (giants), today at 17h00, or the Verbena Popular (music and dance), today at 22h00. Tomorrow, there will be a Concurs de Pesca Esportiva (Sport Fishing Competition, 08h00 at Punta de n’Amer), an initiation into dog training at 18h00 or a Desfilada de Carrosses i Comparses (parade of floats) at 18h30. The choice is yours.

If not, you might want to go to Lloseta today or tomorrow and experience the Fira de sa Sabata (shoe fair), or to Puigpunyent where you could visit the Fira Ecològica, Pagesa i Artesana (Organic Agricultural Fair) this weekend. Or else, Sa Pobla, with its Potato Fair. Whichever and wherever, have a good weekend. But take a raincoat, whatever you do.
